What’s the difference between packed and minimum weight?

In all freestanding shelters, the minimum weight includes the tent body, rain fly, and poles. This weight will include the tent stakes in the case of non-freestanding shelters. Everything that ships with the tent, including the hang tags and the plastic bag it arrives in, is included in the packed weight. For most users, a true trail weight will be somewhere between these listed weights.
