For the best experience, we recommend taking a moment to adjust your pack fit before taking it out on your first adventure together!
We currently have two packs that can be adjusted, the Resolve and the Persist!
The Resolve is available in both men's and women's sizes in 25L & 35L models. We also carry a genderless 15L Resolve, but this model cannot be adjusted. Similarly, the Persist is available in men's and women's sizing with 30L & 45L models.
What is the Difference Between Men's and Women's Sizing?
Our backpacks differentiate between men's and women's models primarily through torso length, shoulder strap contouring, and hip belt shaping to improve fit and load distribution. Women's packs are generally shorter in the torso, have more curved, narrow shoulder straps to avoid chest constriction, and feature hip belts angled to fit broader hips.
Key Differences in NEMO Backpack Fittings:
- Torso Length: Women's packs are designed with shorter back panels (frames) to match shorter average female torso lengths, ensuring the weight sits properly on the hips.
- Shoulder Straps: Women's straps are narrower and often S-shaped to contour around the bust, whereas men's straps are generally wider and straighter.
- Hip Belt: Women's hip belts are often wider or differently angled (canted) to comfortably wrap around hip bones, providing better support.
- Load Stability: Both models aim for proper weight distribution, but women's packs are specifically designed to reduce load on the shoulders and prevent the pack from interfering with the chest.
